U9-U12 fields The fields that you will be playing on this season have been measured and chosen carefully.  Some do not perfectly match the specifications set out by BC soccer but all are quite close.  Most fields should be lined regularly. There are, however, some weekends with field scheduling conflicts, in which games have had to be scheduled on irregularly used fields.  Please be understanding if you find your field is not lined and mark your field with cones.
To all U9 and U10 coaches:
A heads up that your school district fields will not be lined this soccer season.  The fee that the school district charges COYSA for lining the fields increased significantly and unexpectedly this year and unfortunately, this increase was not budgeted for when the 2010 budget was set in September 2009.  With difficulty, we have therefore decided to pay for the U11/U12 school district fields to be lined but not the U9/U10 fields.  The city fields (ie Centennial Mini, Dilworth) will continue to be lined.
You will therefore be required to use cones to mark your school district fields.  Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind (BCSA recommendations):
Field width: 30 meters (min) 36 meters (max).   This is approximately 18 paces from the middle of the goal to the corner flag.
Goal area:  10 meters (approx. 11 paces) from the inside of the mini goal post towards the corner flag and 10 meters (approx. 11 paces) into the field.

Game sheets are to be completed for all U11-18 games (including pre-season AND all cross-over games).  Please complete ALL sections, including the GAME #, printing clearly and pressing hard enough to go through all copies.  Coaches must sign the game sheet at the END of the game to confirm the score.   Click here for a sample game sheet.  The first team listed on the schedule is to provide the game sheet for the game.  It must be completed by both teams and given to the referee before the start of the game.  The Columns marked "Y/R", "ID Card", the sections for the Final Scores and the Misconduct Summary section are all strictly for Referee Use Only.

Within 24 hours of a game, the winning coach is to email the score to scores@telus.net - please put the game number in the subject line.  Please do not phone in your score.  In the event of a tie, both coaches should send an email.

The game sheet is used to update the web stats, the emails are used in an event of a dispute / discrepancy / missing official / missing game sheet.

Clarification of U7/U8 games, the games are simultaneous, not consecutive.

U7 & U8 coaches and parents: - please help set up and put away the nets at the end of the games.  Everyone needs to help at all locations - not just the "home" teams.
