This year marks the 41st year celebrating McHappy Day in McDonald’s® Canada’s since it started in 1977. It is the company’s longest-running and best-known national fundraising event with more than 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants celebrating McHappy Day this year. Over 25,000 Canadian families each year stay close to their sick child at Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across Canada. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $50.8 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) Canada, the Ronald McDonald Houses® and hundreds of other local children’s charities.
