September 30 is National Truth and Reconciliation Day and under the guidance of our governing body, each team is asked to have a moment of silence before their game (or first game of the day if playing more than one), sharing a message: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day for all Canadians to commemorate the history and legacy of the residential school system. It's a day to honour the resilience, dignity and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors and remember the children who never came home. Please join me in a minute of silence for those survivors and children.
